The Wayans Brothers are at it again in a new movie spoof with this time being based around musical/dance films. Paramount Pictures and MTV Films present, a Wayans Brothers Production: ‘Dance Flick.’ Keeping with the Wayans Brothers signature format, the movie spoofs other such flicks as the hip-hop movies “Step Up 2 The Streets,” “You Got Served” and others.
The movie is set to release in theaters on August 14th according to the
Dance Flick’s official website.
Dance Flick focuses on a naive girl who uses dance to achieve her dreams named Megan played by Shoshana Bush, and the street smart guy Thomas played by Damon Wayans, Jr who helps her along the way.
Directed by Damien Dante Wayans, Dance Flick is written by Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Craig Wayans, and also Damien Dante Wayans, and stars Damon Wayans Jr., Craig Wayans, Shoshana Bush, and Essence Atkins.
Others to appear in the film include Kim Wayans, Chris Elliott, David Alan Grier, Page Kennedy, amongst others. In theaters May 22nd.
