EA Confirms Dead Space for Wii This Year As part of EA's intent to throw even more support behind the Wii, EA boss John Riccitiello has confirmed that the publisher is bringing Dead Space and other core IP to the platform.

On the earnings conference call today, EA CEO John Riccitiello talked about the publisher's need to focus more on Wii, and it's not just about casual type games either. Last year's well received survival horror title Dead Space is indeed coming to Wii, Riccitiello revealed during the call.
"We're bringing core intellectual properties and franchises in categories we think have legs on the Wii platform," he said.

"A good example of this is Dead Space - we're bringing a Wii title to market this year. It is absolutely going to [retain] the quality and fear factor that you got on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC SKUs this past year."
With Nintendo's Wii dominating the industry, it seems more and more publishers are finally recognizing that they need to bring all sorts of titles to the platform, rather than simply flood the console with sub-par "casual" fare.
