Resident Evil 5: New Site and Demo Resident Evil 5 appears to have a new website up. The splash screen for residentevil.com starts off with a black screen. Your mouse takes the form of a single burning candle. Soon the page loads enough to see the tormented writing on the wall. The strange writing repeats the world Kijuju over and over again, in phrases like "They are in Kijuju".
The black wall of writing scrolls left to right and using your candle you can see other clues are drawn as well. The numbers 1-5 and outlines of humans can also be seen. Nothing appears to be clickable at this time however.
The site has launched just days after the Resident Evil 5 demo had made it's way to various bittorent sites. Resident Evil 5 is a survival horror game being made by Capcom. The third person shooter will debut on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 on March 13 in the United States and in Europe, March 5th in Japan. The game has already been subject to some scrutiny because of a trailer depicting the main character killing predominantly African zombies.
Will Resident Evil 5 live up to the hype? Has anyone tried the demo yet? Thoughts?
